Our studio creates sgraffito of 2 types:

Classical sgraffito

Traditional technique that has been used since ancient times for decorating  facades and interiors. It involves applying layers of lime plaster in different colors  to a surface and creating a designs by cutting and scratching into the still-wet  upper layers. This method produces expressive, textured relief images with a unique surface quality, typically using up to three colors. The technique is  particularly suited for exterior and monumental works.

Dry sgraffito

Modern technique executed on dried acrylic plaster. It is similar to the classical  approach, layers of different colors applied to the surface, but the design is created by scratching and cutting into the hardened upper layers. This method is allowed for finer details and more complex compositions. Typically,  up to five colors are used in this technique. It is ideal for interiors,  where even the smallest details are important.
